Transportation
We just booked a 26 passenger Old-Fashioned Trolley to transport our bridal part to the ceremony! I am SO excited about this and think it will make for some wonderful pictures!
Wedding Cake
I LOVE this cake from April Reed Cake Designs in NYC. It is simple, yet elegant. I want my cake to be styled similar to this one with the tall and slender shape, but white in color rather than cream. I especially love the Anemone sugar flowers on the third tier!
Escort Cards
I think this is so beautiful! I found this image on brides.com and I would like to have a board of flowers with the escort cards pinned on it. I want the escort cards to be attached to small vintage style tags and pinned onto the flower board (see below). I am thinking of doing something a bit different than the image though - I will have a mix of wheat grass, white flowers, and variegated ivy making up the center. The board will most likely be in some sort of shape (I am currently thinking of doing an art deco style heart).
The escort card flower board we are designing is very similar to this image! It goes so well with my theme and is SO beautiful and fun!
Escort Card Paper
I love the mismatched look of the escort card paper in this photo. I think it would look so beautiful with vintage style paper in various shapes and looks to be pinned onto my flower/wheat grass escort card board.
Menu Cards/Donation Cards
I just purchased these beautiful vintage sheet music 'pockets' from Etsy seller paperhill. I am planning on placing them at each place setting with either a menu card, the 'donation' card (in lieu of favors, we are going to make a donation in the guests' names to a local organization that we support), the photobooth reminder, and the photo sharing info tucked into the pocket. I thought because the venue is the Carnegie Music Hall Foyer, it would be so perfect to have the vintage sheet music pockets. I am going to finish each pocket with a bow (similar to the picture) in either gold, cream, or black. I am so excited about these!!
Chair Ties
I am planning on doing chair ties on the backs of the gold chiavari chairs. I love this image of the green colored ties with a flower tucked into the back. As of right now, I am torn between a colored tie (like the green pictured) or an ivory tie. I guess I'll have to pick the linens first!
Signature Drink
I'm not yet sure exactly what the drink will be, but we definitely want to do a signature drink. I LOVE the look of the martini glasses (pictured) with gold colored sugar rims!! I was thinking that I wanted to do either a flavored martini (because I LOVE martini's!), or a delicious sangria... Maybe both? I guess we'll see what I can come up with!
Toasting Flutes
Our toasting flutes are from the beautiful Swarovski "Crystalline" collection! They are beautiful glass flutes with glimmering Swarovski crystal filled stems! I am SO in love with them!
Cake Carving Set
Our cake set is from David Tutera for Disney Fairytale Weddings collection. I got these in Disney and LOVED them because they were subtly 'Disney' but not over the top. The handle is beautiful silver and pearl white Venetian glass, and there is an etching of Cinderella's coach on the top of each piece. They are so beautiful and I love them!! I am planning on getting our wedding date etched into the steel right under the image of Cinderella's coach.
Card 'Box'
I purchased these birdcages as my 'card box' for the wedding! I love the idea of having the three different sizes and will most likely accent them with ivy and some flowers along tops the base!
Ring Bearer Pillow
I purchased this AMAZING ring bearer pillow from Etsy seller TheBloomingSouth. It is so beautiful and I couldn't be happier with it! I'm now planning on using it for pictures - it's just stunning and will look wonderful in photographs!
Second Ring Bearer Pillow
I was searching far and wide for a good gift for my Ring Bearer. I saw this 'ring bearer pillow' on Etsy and just thought it would be perfect! I purchased it from Etsy seller joannraydesigns and just adore it! The ring bearer just loves cars and I thought this would be a wonderful keepsake for him, and it would make it easier to walk down the aisle while holding a fun car! I can't wait to give it to him!
Cookie Table
Of course, we will have the traditional Pittsburgh Cookie Table at my wedding! For those of you who aren't familiar, Traditionally, female relatives of the bride all pitch in and bake dozens and dozens of homemade cookies in several varieties before the big day. The cookies can also be ordered from a local bakery, or even a combination of the two. No Pittsburgh wedding is complete without one! I want the table to be styled similar to the photo with different vintage style stands.
Candy Buffet
In addition to the cookie table, I am hoping to have a candy buffet. I am using vintage apothecary jars of various sizes and styles to display the candy that I recently purchased from Pier 1 Imports. I haven't 100% decided yet, but I am hoping to keep the candy colors in the green family. I want it styled similar to the photos.
Love is Sweet Sign
I just purchased these lovely signs from Etsy seller tcart2010 and I love them! I got the one pictured for the Candy Buffet table, and also ordered a custom 'Photobooth' sign with a vintage hand pointing to the booth! They both came out amazing and I can't wait to display them at the wedding!
Dress Hanger
I purchased this bridal dress hanger from Etsy seller lilafrances. I think it is such a fun idea! I'm having it made with my NEW last name on :) - It will be a unique touch to the dress picture that the photographer usually takes!
